Putin Shares Personal Morning Routine in Documentary

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, stated that there is no need for a butler to help him wake up in the morning, but at special moments he turns to assistants for help. Putin specified that he wakes up by himself, without a butler. He usually needs about 6 hours of sleep, regardless of the busy work schedules, as he prefers to sleep at night.

Putin was elected President of Russia for the first time on March 26, 2000. In the film, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of his presidency, shots of his apartment are shown, where fruits are visible on the table, honey, yogurt, and paper napkins. Former US President Bill Clinton and Chinese President Xi Jinping have already visited this apartment.

The film about Putin's leadership of Russia over the past 25 years will soon be released and shown on the television channel "Russia-1". He admitted that like many other people, he sometimes finds it hard to get up in the morning. Indeed, as a rule, Putin wakes up by himself, but assistants can always contact him in case of an urgent extraordinary event.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin press secretary, joked that "President Putin does not sleep, he works." The post is meant to be engaging, as Putin demonstrates his apartment in the Kremlin, including a refrigerator and the contents of the table, as well as folders with documents.
