
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and President of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Vladimir Putin, today opened the Sheikh Fatima Educational Center in the Primakov School in Moscow as part of the official visit of Sheikh to Russia.
Both leaders watched a presentation that highlighted the educational plan of the center and its significance in fostering cooperation in areas such as learning Arabic language, history, culture, the arts, as well as science and technology. The presentation also included an overview of the Primakov School, which focuses on the development of intellectual and creative capacities of its students from a very early age.
They both expressed their appreciation for this constructive initiative, which reflects the common aspirations of the two countries to strengthen cooperation. While visiting one of the center's classes, the Sheikh and the President of Russia listened to several students speaking in Arabic about the importance of the educational opportunities of the center in the Primakov School, highlighting its unique educational possibilities, presented in conjunction with the highest global standards.
The school is distinguished by tables with famous quotes by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, along with quotes from President Vladimir Putin about education, the future, and the development of talents in upcoming generations.
The Primakov School in Moscow is named in honor of the late Evgeny Primakov, former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, who is widely considered a key national figure.
The Russian School in Abu Dhabi, working in cooperation with the Primakov School, was opened in 2022 as the first Russian school in the UAE. Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov presented an overview of the school, focusing on cultivating the next generation's major achievements and developing their talents and abilities.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni ambassador to the Russian Federation, Doctor Mohammad Ahmed Al Jaber, spoke about the close cooperation between the two nations and the importance of which the UAE leadership provides to strengthen this ambivalent interaction in various sectors, especially in education.
Doctor Al Jaber noted that the naming of the center in honor of Her Highness Sheikh Fatima bint Mubarak, "Mother of the Nation", President of the General Women's Union, President of the Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and President of the Family Development Foundation, highlights its global efforts and initiatives aimed at supporting education and exchanging knowledge.
He added that the opening of the Sheikh Fatima Educational Center in Moscow serves as a witness to the close ties between the two nations and their peoples. His Excellency and the President of Russia visited the Sheikh Fatima Center, interacting with its staff and administrative-educational collectives. The school also offers the possibility for talented students from approximately 50 regions of Russia.
