This came after his US counterpart, Donald Trump, considered the possibility of conducting tests with atomic weapons. At the same time, Putin emphasized that the Kremlin remains committed to its policy of not conducting such tests as long as other powers do the same. He stated this during an extraordinary meeting of the Russian Security Council, which was broadcast live on television.
