
On Thursday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, stated that the expected signing of an agreement between Russia and Iran will include the establishment of military cooperation. Lavrov noted that this long-term agreement will become an important factor for stability in the region.
"We call on a number of responsible countries that ensure stability in the region, and our bilateral contact with Iran plays a key role in this aspect," Lavrov emphasized.
According to the minister's statement, military cooperation between Russia and Iran will be expanded, and collaboration will be strengthened in various fields. In particular, the sides are discussing the possibilities of joint military exercises and sharing experience in security matters.
"We are convinced that this agreement will contribute to strengthening security and stability in the region," Lavrov reiterated.
