Russian forces have taken control of the settlements of Novoyakovlevka and Kupyansk-Ozlovoy. This was announced by the Chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov. He added that these settlements are currently undergoing security sweeps and cleansing operations. As a result of the hostilities, four people were killed and 20 were injured. Ukrainian cities are also suffering from shelling that causes power outages. In particular, Kharkiv was left without electricity. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the capture of Novoyakovlevka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Kupyansk-Ozlovo in the Kharkiv region. Russia has reiterated its demand for the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donbas. Meanwhile, the White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump is committed to negotiating an end to the war. At the same time, NATO admitted that it cannot fulfill all of Kyiv's requests for arms supplies.
