The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, will begin an official visit to China this Tuesday, which will extend until Wednesday, as announced by a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Lavrov will arrive in Beijing at the invitation of Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China. A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guo Jiakun, stated at a regular press conference that during this visit, the foreign ministers of both countries will exchange views and coordinate positions on the development of bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, and international and regional issues of mutual interest. During a phone call, Pezeshkian assessed the talks between Iran and the United States held in Islamabad on Saturday. He also expressed his appreciation for Russia's principled stance to reduce regional tensions and for the humanitarian assistance provided to the Iranian people. Russia will continue to facilitate a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict and mediate in efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, Putin affirmed.
