Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on Tuesday that the goals of the United States plans to change regimes in Iran and Venezuela are aimed at gaining more control over oil and gas resources. He explained that the global system is undergoing a period of restructuring. Lavrov added that the United States and Israel do not want the normalization of relations between Iran and its neighbors, and warned that the war in the Middle East could escalate into a wider conflict, cautioning against dire consequences from the use of military force against civilians and infrastructure. He reiterated Russia's readiness to offer mediation and other forms of assistance to resolve the issues.
