During the 'Tree of Wishes' charity campaign launched a few days ago in Russia, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov read a letter from a Russian child on Christmas, who asked for a model globe as a gift. Lavrov replied: "Wait until new borders are drawn," hinting at Russia's efforts to expand borders in eastern Ukraine.
He later warned European troops in Ukraine, saying that any European military units deployed there would become legitimate targets for Russian armed forces.
