The Russian army confirmed its strict adherence to the ceasefire declared by President Vladimir Putin. In a statement by General-Major Igor Konashenkov, it is noted that the Russian armed forces are taking every measure to ensure a peaceful resolution in the Caucasus.
According to the statement, since May 3 of this year, Russia has ceased airstrikes in the region to spare the lives of the civilian population and create favorable conditions for negotiations. The general also emphasized the readiness to continue political dialogue to achieve stability and security in the Southern Caucasus.
"We decisively support the implementation of the provisions of the Ceasefire Agreement in the Nagorno-Karabakh and are in constant contact with all parties to the conflict," said the general-major.
