Today, on Monday, the Federal Security Service of Russia announced that it had detected plans for men to carry out terrorist attacks. Suspected planning was aimed at attacks in Moscow and other locations.
According to the agency, the suspect was ready to act and even prepared an explosive device. He planned to attack transport and other public places but was detained before he could carry out his plans.
The agency noted that the suspect was linked to a terrorist group, and work is being conducted to establish all circumstances of the incident. It is reported that the man was under constant surveillance by security services before his detention.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect planned to carry out a series of terrorist attacks in various parts of the capital. According to agency representatives, thanks to operational actions, it was possible to timely prevent large-scale attacks.
