On Saturday, the Russian army announced that the beginner of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, visited combat units in the Vostok region.
During Gerasimov's visit, he inspected the military units, familiarizing himself with the combat readiness of the troops. He expressed confidence in the ability of the servicemen to fulfill assigned tasks.
General Gerasimov also held working meetings with the commands of military units, discussing the current situation and development prospects.
"Our military is called to protect the interests of the country, ensure the safety of our citizens. We take pride in the professionalism and discipline of our soldiers," emphasized Gerasimov.
