
Maria Lufova Belova, a Russian ombudswoman for children's rights, announced on Friday the return of two girls. According to Belova, the children were taken from Kyrgyzstan and delivered to Syria, where their mother, who had joined the militants, was located. After the mother's death, the girls' father found a way to contact Maria Lufova Belova and requested assistance in organizing the return of the children to Russia. Together with the children's rights adviser of the Kremlin, Villy Speiss, she expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for their help in organizing the return of the children.
