The press service of the President's Administration said: "In accordance with paragraph 'a' of part 4 of Article 83 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and Article 9 of the Law of the Russian Federation 'On the State Civil Service of the Russian Federation', Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the dismissal of the head of the federal state institution 'State Corporation for Space Activities 'Roscosmos'.

The acting head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin expressed gratitude to Putin for the opportunity to head the space agency and stated that his task was to increase the competitiveness of the Russian space industry and further development.
