
Media and official representatives in Russia stated that the nuclear electrification was one of the aims of a massive cyberattack by Ukraine using drones on Russian oil and energy facilities.
Russian officials reported that the attack was reflected thanks to timely security measures. They clarified that the goal of Ukrainian actions was the disruption of operations of key infrastructure facilities in the country.
Officials also noted that the situation with cybersecurity is becoming increasingly tense, and that Russia is forced to adopt additional measures to protect critical infrastructure objects.
"We consider similar attacks to be extremely serious. They can cause significant damage to our energy systems," one of the representatives emphasized.
