President of Russia Vladimir Putin, together with the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, joined other high-ranking officials for the Easter service, which was led by Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill.
Patriarch Kirill addressed the congregation with a message of peace and hope, calling for unity and mutual cooperation for the good of society. Putin and Sobyanin expressed their best wishes to all parishioners in connection with the upcoming bright Christian holiday of Easter.
The event was also attended by other high-ranking officials, representatives of the church, and believers. The Nativity of Christ is considered one of the most important religious holidays in Russia, and it is celebrated by millions of Orthodox believers around the world.
