Moscow Urges Israel to Halt Airstrikes Near Syrian Base

Moscow urged Israel to refrain from conducting airstrikes around its military base in Syria, similar to what occurred in October.

According to information from the TASS news agency, a recent example of this was last year's event when Israeli military aircraft executed a rocket strike in the sky over the Latakia region. At that time, one of the rockets launched from an Israeli F-16 came close to a Russian Su-35 fighter jet, stationed at the Hmeymim base. As a result, the pilot of the Russian aircraft was forced to eject.

Today it became known that the Russian army has introduced additional security measures in the airspace around the Hmeymim base in response to Israel's actions.
