Russia Approves Law Against Propaganda to Reduce Childbirth

The Moscow Parliament passed a law today prohibiting "propaganda" that encourages Russians not to have children.

In connection with the new legislative initiative introduced by a group of deputies, measures to control propaganda, including on the internet, will be Roskomnadzor. This initiative received support from more than 70% of parliament members.

"This law protects our future, the demographics of our country," noted one of the deputies during the discussion of the legislative initiative.

Supporters of the new legislation argue that its introduction will allow combating the demographic crisis and ensuring stable population growth in Russia.
