Putin Emphasizes the Need for Facts for a Peace Agreement

On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that any peace agreement with Kyiv must be based on facts. This statement complicates the current situation and highlights the need for a realistic approach to negotiations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Thursday that any peace agreement with Kyiv must be based on facts. "We are certainly ready to contact, but only on those bases that we deem acceptable, on those bases that take into account the interests of the residents of Donbas. We are ready for a reasonable compromise with consideration of Ukraine's interests, but only with the acceptance of real results that guarantee the safety of the residents of LNR and DNR," Putin noted.
