Russia Conducts Seven Attacks on Targets in Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces carried out seven attacks on targets linked to the Ukrainian army last week in retaliation for Ukrainian attacks on civilian facilities in Russia, and took control of seven settlements. The ministry stated that overnight, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on targets in Ukraine, using precision long-range weapons launched from the air and from the ground, as well as attack drones. According to the statement, the targets included Ukraine's military-industrial complex and the energy infrastructure that supports Kyiv's military operations. The report adds that during the week, six group attacks were carried out on the fuel, transport, and port infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces. In addition, military airfields, facilities associated with the production and preparation for the launch of long-range attack drones, and temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian troops and foreign fighters were attacked. Finally, the Ministry stated that Russian forces had taken full control of the Luhansk region. These statements have not been independently verified in this note.
