The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this Thursday that its Southern Group of Forces has taken control of the settlement of Sviato-Pokrovske in the Donetsk region.
"As a result of decisive actions, units of the Southern Group of Forces have liberated the locality of Sviato-Pokrovske in the Donetsk region," the ministry stated in a communiqué.
Additionally, Russian air defense systems intercepted six aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS rocket, and 472 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles in the special military operations zone over the past 24 hours, the communiqué added.
A separate report by Xinhua, accessed by the Argentine News Agency, also revealed a Ukrainian drone attack.
Russian tanks burned in a Ukrainian drone attack
On Thursday, authorities in the Krasnodar region reported that two oil storage tanks caught fire in the Russian port of Temryuk, in the country's south, following a drone attack, though no casualties were reported.
The total area of the fire is approximately 2,000 square meters, with 70 personnel and 18 pieces of equipment involved in firefighting efforts.
A separate overnight drone attack targeted the village of Nikolaevka in the Krasnodar region, causing damage to multiple industrial structures and agricultural equipment.
On Monday, Ukrainian drones attacked the port of Taman in the settlement of Volna, damaging two piers and two tankers.
Furthermore, two oil storage tanks were damaged by falling debris from intercepted drones.
Temryuk and Taman are important maritime ports on the Black Sea, vital for the export of Russian oil and petroleum products.
