Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia's position on the deployment of any foreign forces is well-known, consistent, and clear. Peskov mentioned that the visit of the US special envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow this week is not expected. Russia has repeatedly opposed the idea of deploying troops. He added that Russia expects the United States to inform Moscow about the results of talks with Ukraine as soon as they are ready. The Kremlin said on Wednesday that Russia's stance on the deployment of any European troops in Ukraine is widely known, following some media reports that a US-brokered peace proposal might include sending a European-led force to Ukraine.
