Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is traveling to China on Monday for a two-day visit to hold talks with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. The meeting is expected to focus on economic and technological cooperation despite Western pressure. The last high-level government meeting between China and Russia took place last August in the Russian capital, Moscow, where the Chinese premier praised what he called the 'vitality' of cooperation between the two countries. According to the press office of the Russian government, Mishustin is scheduled to hold a regular meeting with his counterpart Li Qiang in the city of Hangzhou on Monday, before traveling to Beijing on Tuesday for talks with the Chinese president.
'We highly value cooperation with Russia,' the news agency TASS quoted the press office of the government as saying.
