The Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping stated that the conflict in Ukraine will not be resolved. They agreed on this during a meeting at the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.
Putin and Xi discussed the situation in Ukraine and confirmed their opinion that resolving this conflict is extremely difficult. Vladimir Putin emphasized that it is necessary to implement the Minsk agreements, and also stressed the importance of adhering to the rules of the World Trade Organization regarding free trade.
In turn, Xi Jinping expressed hope that the conflict in Ukraine will eventually receive a resolution, but noted that making this happen will be extremely difficult due to the large number of parties involved in the conflict.
**Putin emphasized:** "We call on all parties to implement the Minsk agreements. Adherence to these agreements can serve as the beginning of a long-term resolution of this conflict."
It is important to note that Russia and China first prioritized the task of finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine and are on the same wavelength regarding this issue.
