On Tuesday, the Kremlin confirmed that the Russian army will certainly respond to any Ukrainian attack during the proposed ceasefire with President Vladimir Putin's single-term extension until May 10. According to the words of Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov, the Russian side has unambiguously drawn attention to the provocative actions of the Ukrainian side, as Kyiv bears responsibility for obstructing the situation in the region. Peskov also added that Russia adheres to a diplomatic path and hopes for the possibility of reaching an agreement on the regulation of the conflict. The head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, who proposed the initiative for the introduction of the ceasefire, emphasized that it could become an opportunity for the resolution of the conflict and facilitate the regulation of the situation in the eastern Ukraine region, where combat operations between Ukrainian forces and separatists continue.
