The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, stated that the country has sufficient forces and resources to successfully conclude what was started in 2022, according to the documentary titled "Russia, Kremlin, Putin, 25 Years". Putin expressed during an interview that Russia can achieve victory in the conflict with Ukraine without resorting to nuclear weapons and is confident that it will not be necessary.
In the documentary, Putin is seen next to a portrait of Tsar Alexander III, a conservative leader from the 19th century. Putin's first inauguration as President of Russia took place on May 7, 2000, after winning the presidential elections held in March of the same year. Since then, except for the period from 2008 to 2012 when Dmitry Medvedev served as president, Putin has been inaugurated four more times, thanks to constitutional amendments that initially limited presidential terms to two.
In the documentary, Putin reflects on his political role by mentioning: "I don’t feel like politicians." Fragments of this production have been disseminated by the Russian press, revealing that there were attempts to provoke Russia into making mistakes, without resorting to nuclear weapons. The documentary will be broadcast this Sunday on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Putin's first inauguration as president, which will be celebrated on May 7.
