President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian army to carry out "cleansing in full volume" of the Russian territory in the Kursk region, where, as reported by his troops, progress is being made.
"We adhere to a diplomatic initiative, but this should not be taken for granted. If someone decides to attack us, we will not leave them without an adequate response," Putin said at a meeting with the leadership of Minoborona.
At the same time, the head of state noted that Russia is not intending to participate in any negotiations for military assistance, but will also not tolerate threats to national security.
At the moment, the Russian Armed Forces are taking steps to increase the readiness of their armed forces in the given region with the aim of ensuring the state's security.
