'We have unequivocally stated that we consider it important to have a representation of what steps may be taken by the United States in relation to the Russian Federation. And that what we see in the actions of the American side, in general, consistently corresponds to what we propose,' noted the representative of the presidential press service of the Russian Federation. This Pentagon approach to formalizing its relations with the Kremlin was unprecedented. The American leadership recently stated that they intend to establish more stable and predictable interactions with Russia, although they recognize Moscow as their adversary and competitor.
