Russia has appointed Alexander Darchiev as the new ambassador to the United States. This came after bilateral negotiations in Istanbul and against the backdrop of rapprochement between Moscow and Washington.
Following a meeting of the presidential committee on foreign policy, a decision was made to appoint Darchiev as the new ambassador. The aim of this appointment is to continue improving relations between Russia and the United States.
Alexander Darchiev is an experienced diplomat, having held high-ranking positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and he has also served as ambassador in several countries. It is expected that his experience and professionalism will help in further developing dialogue between the two countries.
"We are eagerly awaiting work in a new capacity and are confident that we can continue to improve relations between Russia and the USA," Darchiev stated after his appointment.
