On Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, stated that the approval of the UN Security Council's resolution, taking a neutral position regarding the conflict, "would have been very helpful."
Lavrov emphasized that Russia insists that all parties comply with international law. He also added that Moscow does not see other options for resolving the conflict: "We are conducting serious work together with other participants to create a perspective for the transition of Syria to normalization," Lavrov said.
