
The reactions of diplomats from 27 countries of the European Union regarding the events in Russia expressed support for the decision on the establishment of a new package of sanctions against this country. The new measures, aimed at Russia, have already become the sixth in the framework of these relations.
The previous sanctions were triggered by events taking place in various regions of Russia, which caused concerns in European society. EU diplomats accept measures due to the situation with human rights in Russia. The aim of the sanctions is to achieve a change in the behavior of the Russian government within the country and on the international stage. In addition, they are aimed at changing Moscow's course in its relations with Ukraine.
One of the diplomats who spoke on this matter emphasized that the new sanctions were unanimously supported by all participants. He noted that the countries of the EU decisively stand up for the protection of human rights and international law.
