The European Union agrees to extend its sanctions against Russia in light of the war in Ukraine.
Representatives of EU countries adopted a decision to extend sanctions in the form of limited lending, trade in weapons, and several other measures aimed at limiting economic relations between the EU and Russia. Sanctions also include a ban on entry into European countries for a number of Russian officials and restrictions in the field of technology.
**An EU representative stated:** "The extension of sanctions testifies to the support of our decision to maintain pressure on Russia as long as it does not fulfill all the conditions of the Minsk agreements."
