One of the senior members of the Russian parliament stated on Monday on official television that the United States has notified Moscow of its agreement to the appointment of a new Russian ambassador to Washington.
The statement of this parliament member witnesses to the political development related to the negotiations between the two countries concerning the appointment of a new Russian envoy to the USA. Speaking about further steps on this issue, he added that Russia is currently acting in accordance with the prerequisites regulating international relations, as well as taking into account practices in this sphere.
"This is one of the key stages in organizing diplomatic interaction between Russia and the United States," the politician noted.
