Children under seven should not be exposed to small screens for long periods, as this can weaken their peripheral vision, which is extremely dangerous. She added: 'You should not just give the child a phone, but agree on this in advance, because parental control over the phone is necessary, and this issue should be discussed openly with the child. Until that age, he can use a regular button phone to easily communicate with his family when needed. It is best to link the purchase of a phone with the child's responsibility and readiness to accept new rules, as very early use of a smartphone can harm the child's development.' Tatyana Tsvetkova also noted that spending a long time on the internet without supervision, playing games, and receiving information unsuitable for children all negatively affect their mental state and can instill inappropriate concepts in their minds. A specialist in pedagogical sciences warned that the use of electronic devices by a child before the age of 11 harms his psyche, vision, and development. Dr. Tatyana Tsvetkova said: 'It is not recommended to buy a personal smartphone for a child before the age of 11. It is also best to set internet usage hours in advance to suit the family's daily routine. For example, you can allow internet use after school and completion of homework within a specified time.'
