Russia and China Expand Energy Partnership

Russia and China have expanded their cooperation by signing an agreement to extend the project "Power of Siberia-2", which raises concerns for the United States. The project is expected to impact the ecology and economy of the region.

The gas pipeline between Russia and China through Mongolia, also known as "Power of Siberia", strengthens energy ties between the two powerful states. The "Power of Siberia-1" line was inaugurated in December 2019, its length is 3000 kilometers, linking gas fields in Siberia with northern China. This facilitates the transportation of natural gas from vast Russian reserves to meet the growing energy demand in China.

Dr. Clara Kamal-Nasr, an expert in the field of energy, notes: "This project is key to strengthening the cooperation between Russia and China in the energy sector, and it may have significant importance for both countries in the future."
