On Friday, the head of the Volgograd region in southern Russia announced that the fire at the oil-pumping plant was extinguished after being hit by Ukrainian drones.

According to the governor, the preventive measures taken allowed for the situation to be handled without ignition. "Thanks to the coordinated actions of firefighters, we managed to localize and extinguish the fire at the oil-pumping plant, which was attacked by Ukrainian drones," he reported.

It was also noted that as a result of the incident, no one was harmed and the production capacities of the plant were not affected. "Emergency response services promptly arrived on-site and proceeded to extinguish the fire," the head of the region added.

It was emphasized that after the incident, all processes at the facility were restored and the operation of the plant was renewed.
