In the Russian city of Vladivostok, in the Far East, a former employee of the US consulate was sentenced to four years and ten months in prison. The accused was found guilty of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell.

According to the investigation, the man agreed to the illegal sale of marijuana in Vladivostok. The investigators documented his transfer of narcotics, after which he was arrested. During a search, over 1.5 kilograms of cannabis were found.

The court established that the defendant worked as an administrator of electronic mail at the consulate, but after being removed from office, he remained in the city. Based on the primary accusation, he was fined 100,000 rubles.

The regional prosecutor's office noted that this case represents a witness in the fight against illegal drug trafficking and emphasized the importance of such decisions in ensuring public safety.
