In Vladivostok, a Russian city, the highest temperature recorded in the last five decades was 2.8 degrees Celsius, surpassing the previous record held since 1969.

The Primorsky local meteorological service announced that the new record exceeded the previous one by 2 degrees Celsius, which lasted more than 50 years. Experts noted that such temperature increases in January are a rarity for Vladivostok, known for its cold winter climate. Typically, during this time of year, temperatures range from -10 to -16 degrees Celsius.

The years 2006, 2008, and 2021 were among the coldest in history when temperatures dropped to -20 and -23 degrees Celsius. Another exception was 2010 when the temperature reached 0.4 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday, Vladivostok, a Russian city, set a new temperature record of 2.8 degrees Celsius, the warmest in five decades. This record surpassed the previous one set in 1969.
