On Monday, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities announced that firefighters are battling a large fire at a warehouse in Novokuybyshevsk in Samara region of Russia.
According to current media reports, the area of the fire is about 3 thousand square meters. The flames engulfed warehouse premises where construction materials were stored.
No information has yet been reported about the damage caused by the fire. Firefighters managed to prevent the spread of the fire to neighboring buildings.
"The forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to extinguish the fire," it is stated in the announcement of the security forces.
Local residents have been warned about the possible deterioration of air quality in the area of the fire and are advised to comply with the precautions.
